Does It Hurt by Dawn Lloyd

A bit of monkpunk to mark the passing of the solstice. Andrew McCurdy and Lou J. Berger read.

Author Dawn Lloyd is an American who got bored and set out across the world looking for adventure. Nineteen years, four continents and six countries later, she has returned to settle into the Alaskan bush. She is the Editor in Chief of The Colored Lens speculative magazine. More information about her adventures can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/dawnlloydwriter/home .

Narrator Lou J. Berger is a Denver-based fiction author, with about two dozen published short stories, a couple novelettes, and a novella (which was work for hire and probably doesn’t count). He’s been published in Galaxy’s Edge Magazine, Daily Science Fiction, and a host of anthologies. In 2017, he was a Finalist for Writers of the Future.

Narrator Andrew McCurdy is a writer and editor whose day job as a Speech-Language Pathologist involves providing nonverbal children with access to technology to help them communicate. He lives in rural Nova Scotia with a thirteen year old girl, two freakishly old cats, and an assortment of feral creatures who have assumed ownership of the woodshed and only grant him access if he’s carrying food.
